Veterinary nurse – Orthopaedic experience (Full-time)
Invermay Vet Clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Nurse to join our small team. The role is full-time and hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for a nurse with a strong interest and proven experience in orthopaedic surgery who enjoys working in a hands-on clinical environment and providing high-quality patient care.
About the role:
- Assisting with orthopaedic and general surgical procedures
- Preparing and monitoring patients before, during and after anaesthesia
- Surgical nursing, instrument handling, and theatre support
- Inpatient care and recovery monitoring
- Client communication and discharge instructions
- Training other nurses
- General nursing duties and teamwork across the clinic
About you:
- Qualified Veterinary Nurse with at least Cert IV in vet nursing and relevant clinical experience
- Confident assisting with orthopaedic surgeries
- Strong anaesthesia monitoring skills
- Calm, organised, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about patient care and continuous learning
